Our Commitment to Success

Founded in 2021, our program has been embraced by the Triton and Amesbury communities. The Junior Maples have already achieved remarkable success, a testament to the talent and determination of our players and coaches. Below, we celebrate their incredible accomplishments:

2023-24 - Bantams Bring Home Championships

Bantam 1 and Bantam 2 brought home the VHL Championships in each of their divisions to end the Jr. Maples season with a bang.

Bantam 2 started off the action on that final Saturday with a decisive 3-1 victory over Andover. Bantam 2 controlled the game with solid defense and an excellent performance between the pipes by Coby Bedard.

In the evening tilt, Bantam 1 gave us a nail-biter. The team came from behind to tie it up with 12 seconds left against a tough Medford team. 3 vs. 3 OT didn't last long with goal from Maxx Barrett to give the Jr. Maples the championship.

Squirt 1/2 Combo Champions at Turkey Day Classic

The Jr. Maples Squirt 1/2 Combo team took home the Championship at the Turkey Day Classic in Woburn over Thanksgiving weekend. The team fought hard in the first game, coming up just short against a tough 10U Devils Black team from Attleboro.

The Jr. Maples did not let that first loss set the tone for Saturday. They regrouped the next day, beating Woburn 2-0 in the morning game. They were scrappy against the hometown squad, fighting for every puck, creating scoring opportunities and playing tight defense. They were helped between the pipes by some incredible saves by #88 Kaden McGeoghegan. After a long afternoon break the Jr. Maples came out flying for their evening game against Chelmsford, this time with rookie goalie, Luke McDonald, in the net. Another impressive defensive performance and a hat trick by #30 Jacoby Wilson, wrote the Jr. Maples ticket to the Championship game on Sunday morning.

Sunday found the Jr. Maples facing the undefeated 10U Devils Black team team for the title. It was a rematch that our little team was looking forward to. The Devils jumped out in front with an early first period goal, but after that the Jr. Maples settled down to play a great game of hockey. McGeoghegan was a brick wall in the net. The defense shut down the Devils scoring opportunities and #14 Jack Pappas and #30 Jacoby Wilson found the back of the Devils' net 3 times between them to take home the trophy. The final score was 3-1. Congratulations to this scrappy little squad!

#8 - Desmond Potts, #9 - Nina Azul, #24 - Oliver Bonafede, #22 - Henry Hardy, #19 - Noah Lovejoy, #44 - Luke McDonald, #25 - Theodore Merchant, #14 - Jack Pappas, #21 - Nathaniel Soule, #64 - Brody Sullivan (IR), #77 - Benjamin Fowler, #88 - Kaden McGeoghegan, #17 - Sophia Perrault, #30 - Jacoby Wilson, #72 - Logan Heil

HOME OF THE 2021-2022 14U TIER IV STATE CHAMPIONS!!

This team played four preliminary games without giving up a goal. Their defense and goaltending were simply outstanding, and the team played their best hockey of the season.

Congrats to all the players and coaches on this extraordinary achievement!

Game 1: 1-0 win vs South Boston. Scored in an overtime shootout.

Game 2: 1-0 win vs Groton. Scored with 7 seconds left in the game!

Game 3: 6-0 win vs Lower Cape

Game 4: 7-0 win vs Tewksbury

Game 5: 4-3 win vs Groton to win the Championship!

Congratulations 21-22 Peewee 1 VHL Champs!

The 2021-22 Peewee 1 Jr. Maples defeated the top seeded S&S Peewee 1 team in a decisive 5-1 victory to become the PeeWee South National - AA Champions.

It was a playoff run that highlighted teamwork and grit. The team went into the playoffs with an 11-10-6 record as the #3 seed. All three playoff games featured unlikely goal scorers and brilliant defensive plays as well as a brick wall between the pipes. The teamwork paid off and with a great fan-base of friends and family (shout out to the siblings) behind them, the Peewee 1 team made quick work of the Championship game.

Congratulations to coaches Jon Brown and Geoff Gilbert and the 2021-22 Jr. Maples Peewee 1 Team:

Ian Brown, Mason DesRosiers, Mason Fowler, Isaac Gilbert, JD Greenleaf, Jase Hersey, Michael Kelcourse, Tenley Marengi, Harrison Mullen, Eli Palowich, Carson Rumph (G), Benjamin Soule
